No Christmas tree recycling on Saturday, but pickup continues next week

Families in La Crosse will get another week to throw out their used Christmas trees.

The city recycling coordinator, Char Wagner, says there will not be tree collection on Saturday, January 9th, as printed in the 2021 Recycling Guide.

However, the collection period is being extended until January 15th, for any trees not taken away so far.

Tinsel and ornaments must be removed from the trees, and they must be set out on the boulevard by 7 a.m. on Monday, January 11th.

The city crews will not collect artificial Christmas trees or wreaths.
