Names released in fatal Trempealeau Co. accident

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office reported the names of the two men involved in a deadly accident that happened the day after Christmas.

James B. Williams, 55, of Arcadia, was driving a passenger car southbound on State Rd. 93 near Lewis Valley Rd. The Sheriff’s Office said he was driving left of the center line and hit a truck traveling north around 12:11 Saturday afternoon. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver, 60-year-old Michael T. Buxrude of Moorhead, Minn. was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries.
