Published

While the race of mayor of La Crosse is drawing a lot of focus, there are three seats on the school board, as well.

So far, seven people have filed papers to run.

Currently these people have at least filed nominating papers: Gretchen Paquette, Brad Quarberg, Annie Baumann, James Cherf, Martha Linville, James Young and Rob Abraham.

Only Quarberg is currently a school board member. Incumbents Jeff Meyer and Keonte Turner have yet to file papers.

Candidates have until Jan. 5 to file papers. Those running need 100 signatures, among other things. Three candidates have gotten those signatures.
