Back on Nov. 12, Chances R in downtown La Crosse made the decision to voluntarily close down because of the surge in COVID-19 cases.

The bar posted it would look to open back up Nov. 27, but that’s no longer the case.

Chances R posted Wednesday it will remain close until Dec. 10.

“We hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season!” the bar posted.

Back in mid-November, the bar stated, “We cannot in good conscience stay open and put people at risk.

“We are hoping that bars and restaurants choose to do the right thing and close, as well. We know it’s hard being shut down but if we all make this sacrifice we can go back to normal before this gets even more devastating.”
