La Crosse over 200 COVID cases for 5th time, as state surpasses 3,000 deaths

Another 206 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County on Saturday, while the state of Wisconsin surpassed 3,000 deaths from the virus.

It’s the fourth time this month the county has gone over 200 cases in a day and fifth time, overall.

In surrounding counties, Trempealeau suffered its 12th death from the virus Friday — the seventh death in the county since Nov. 2.

Statewide, Wisconsin 6,224 cases and 51 deaths Saturday. The state has now suffered 3,005 deaths overall.

In Minnesota, 6,265 cases, 283 hospitalizations and 51 deaths. Minnesota has seen 3,201 die from the virus overall.

Iowa added 3,284 cases, 186 hospitalizations and 33 deaths, bringing the statewide total to 2,192.
