FILE - La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat (left) honors Louie Ferris for his efforts in erecting WWI Doughboy monument at Veterans Freedom Park last October.

It’s been a week, since the presidential election, so we can now safely look ahead to the next one.

It’s less than five months away, those April elections.

La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat has been asked this three times now during his monthly stop on La Crosse Talk PM. Each time, relatively the same answer.

This is what he said this time around:

So far, only city council member Jessica Olson has officially declared she’s running. If Kabat runs, he’d be seeking his third term. He ran unopposed four years ago.
