Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson warns against Democratic wins in Washington

Wisconsin’s senior Senator is warning that America could become a ‘pretty dark place,’ if Democrats take over the White House and Congress.

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson told WIZM’s La Crosse Talk that he believes most Democrats are against socialism, but their party’s leaders are determined to change all the rules if Joe Biden becomes president.

“They are going to change every rule, violate every norm, every precedent to make sure if they gain power, they never lose it,” Johnson said. “They’ll pack the courts, they’ll pack the Senate, they’ll eliminate the Electoral College.”

Johnson says if there’s no electoral college, presidential candidates will no longer visit Wisconsin, but instead the state will be part of “flyover” country.

Johnson added that radicals have been planning for years to turn America toward socialism.

“The radical left took over our university system, so they control college of education, of journalism and law,” Johnson said. “They control our culture. They’ve been pushing this into the minds of our children for a decade and that’s why now you have these rich white kids on the streets, protesting, those (protests) turning to riots and looting.”

And, for the Senator, this election is about two ideals.

“It’s really a choice between people that love this country — understand what made it great — and the anarchist, and the rioters, and the people that want to fundamentally transform this nation,” Johnson said. “You don’t like, love or even like something you want to fundamentally transform.

“So that’s the contest, between freedom and individual liberty and tyranny — those that want to tell you how to act, how to think, what you’re going to say. That’s not freedom. That’s really what’s on the ballot.”

Johnson also blamed the media for not warning voters about the aims of radical party leaders who allegedly want to make Joe Biden a puppet.

“I think most democrats love this country,” Johnson said. “I think they don’t want to see us a socialist nation. But, I’m just trying to warn them, if they vote for Biden and Chuck Schumer becomes the majoirity leader and Nancy Pelosi remains the Speaker, we’re not going to recognize this country in six months, a year, two years.

Johnson‘s seat is not at stake in today’s election, but it is in 2022.

He won a second term in 2016, as part of the Republican wave which gave Wisconsin to Donald Trump in the last presidential race.
