La Crosse adds 59 COVID-19 cases, but average ticks down — hospitalizations up 1 to 128 total

Another 59 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County.

The county now has a total of 3,961 cases, according to the state, while residents hospitalized from the virus went up one from Wednesday to 128.

Along with those hospitalizations, the Coulee dashboard shows the case rate the past seven days went down three to 39 cases a day.

In surrounding counties:
Vernon added seven (450 total)
Trempealeau added 20 (927 total)
Winona added 17 (1,225 total)
Monroe added 29 (1,027 total)


STATE TOTALS
Wisconsin: 186,100 cases, 9,855 hospitalizations, 1,703 deaths
Minnesota: 128,152 cases, 9,226 hospitalizations, 2,301 deaths
Iowa: 112,243 cases, 1,617 deaths


Statewide, no indication from the Department of Health Services that Thursday’s numbers are still backlogged, as they were the past few days.

Wisconsin added 3,413 cases, 151 hospitalizations and 22 deaths — all very high.

The state’s averaging 3,396 cases a day the past week.

Minnesota added 1,574 cases, 79 hospitalizations and 20 deaths. The state is averaging 1,590 cases a day the past week.

Iowa added 1,617 cases, 23 deaths Thursday. Also, 85 more have been hospitalized bringing that total to 530 — 135 of those in the ICU.
