As leaves begin to drop, the City of La Crosse is preparing for city-wide leaf collection Oct. 26-November 20th.

An online map will be available when collection starts and will show in what area crews are working. Residents are encouraged to visit the city website for information, including a list of drop-off sites that will be scheduled to open at a later date.

Until leaf collection begins, residents who wish to dispose leaves can take them to the Isle La Plume Yard Waste site at 2000 Marco Dr., La Crosse.

Collection Tips:

  • Place leaves on the boulevard by 7am to ensure they are picked up when trucks are in the area.
  • Leaf pickup does not coincide with your refuse/recycling collection day.
  • Combined piles and do not place behind parked cars or around trees and sign posts.
  • We will not collect leaves that are bagged, covered up, or have brush/materials mixed in.

Isle La Plume Yard Waste & Brush Site Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 11 AM- 6 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday, 11 AM-4 PM
  • When Daylight Saving Time ends, the drop-off site will close weekdays at 6:00 PM
