A fourth person has died from COVID-19 in La Crosse County.

This is the second consecutive day the area’s dashboard shows a death.

No other information, again, was released or posted from the Coulee COVID-19 Collaborative between the La Crosse County Health Department, Gundersen Health System and Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.

This is the third death this month. Aside from Thursday, a man in his 70s died Sept. 2, and another died back on July 17. The deaths Thursday and Friday are women in their 80s, the Tribune reported.

According to the dashboard, there were 111 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday in La Crosse County and 76 hospitalizations — up two from Wednesday.

Case average the past seven days is now 77. The average dropped significantly because last Friday’s 254 cases are now longer factored in.
