Biden’s wife ready to talk to La Crosse voters

The biggest political figure to campaign personally in La Crosse so far this election season is Vice President Mike Pence, but on Wednesday, the opposing campaign will focus on La Crosse, with a virtual event. 

Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of Democratic nominee Joe Biden, gets together with La Crosse Congressman Ron Kind for an on-line talk about western Wisconsin women and the economy. 

The virtual meeting is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.  Other guests invited to take part include the owners of local businesses “Tangled Up in Hue” and the Uptowne Cafe and Bakery.

Joe Biden personally campaigned in La Crosse in October of 2012, when he was the incumbent vice president running for a second term.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
