Biden’s wife ready to talk to La Crosse voters
The biggest political figure to campaign personally in La Crosse so far this election season is Vice President Mike Pence, but on Wednesday, the opposing campaign will focus on La Crosse, with a virtual event.
Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of Democratic nominee Joe Biden, gets together with La Crosse Congressman Ron Kind for an on-line talk about western Wisconsin women and the economy.
The virtual meeting is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. Other guests invited to take part include the owners of local businesses “Tangled Up in Hue” and the Uptowne Cafe and Bakery.
Members of the public can get a link through the Biden campaign website.
Joe Biden personally campaigned in La Crosse in October of 2012, when he was the incumbent vice president running for a second term.
