La Crosse adds 15 COVID-19 cases, Wisconsin goes over a thousand for third consecutive day

According to state data, another 15 cases Saturday of COVID-19 in La Crosse County.

The county’s total is at 1,625.

The county health department will resume daily case data on Monday. Those stats can be found here. It started to re-report those stats last Thursday.

In Winona County, another 16 cases, bringing the total to 663. Winona has averaged 19.8 cases since Aug. 27.

Wisconsin: 87,603 cases, 6,263 hospitalizations, 1,197 deaths
Minnesota: 83,588 cases, 6,899 hospitalizations, 1,906 deaths
Iowa: 74,205 cases, 1,218 deaths


Statewide, Wisconsin reported over a thousand cases for the third consecutive day, something that’s never happened before. In fact, yesterday having over a thousand cases for the second consecutive day had never happened to that point, either.

Wisconsin had 1,353 cases, 46 hospitalizations and 12 deaths. The state has averaged exactly 1,000 cases a day in September. There have been 41 deaths the past four days.

Minnesota had 929 cases, 36 hospitalizations and nine deaths.

Iowa data shows 806 new cases, two deaths Saturday.
