La Crosse at 89 cases Thursday, as health dept. goes back to daily reports; 64 cases reported at UW-L

The La Crosse County health department said is going back to updating cases of COVID-19 daily.

That case count can be found here. The health department reports 89 cases Thursday. state data had that number at 75. Total active cases in La Crosse County right now, 441.

Meanwhile, UW-La Crosse started its own dashboard for campus testing and that case data will be through 4:30 p.m. from the previous day.

UW-L’s dashboard shows 64 cases through 4:30 p.m. Thursday. It also says that 61 of its 130 isolation spaces are taken.

Along with the 89 cases Thursday, the health department website shows the county’s average daily cases past week is 38 cases.

The health department did note that, while it will do daily case counts, “the seven-day average is the best metric to consistently follow.”
