The latest data from the collaborative website gauging COVID-19 in the La Crosse area shows the county’s case rate on the verge of red.

La Crosse County’s cases per 100,000 is at 21.3 and is projected to increase, according to the Coulee COVID-19 Collaborative (CCC), which is updated at 3 p.m. Wednesdays. At greater than 25, the metric moves from orange to red.

Hospitalization rate and hospital capacity are still in the green.

Two metrics on the “community indicators” page have moved to a “concern” status marked with a red X. Those indicators are daily testing goals percentage, which is at just 53.7% — the goal is 75%. The other metric is positive test ratio, which is at 18.2% — the goal is under 10%.

The contact tracing metric is shown in yellow, at 82.9%, where the goal is to be at 90%. The other three metrics are shown as “achieved.”

The Health Department also updated it’s weekly “snapshot” looking at cases in La Crosse County. That can be found by clicking here.
