La Crosse adds 14 cases, Wisconsin reports 0 deaths for 3rd consecutive day

Another 14 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in La Crosse County on Tuesday, according to state data.

That brings the county total to 1,351. The health department will be updating its weekly ‘snapshot’ and its COVID-19 collaborative website at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

In Winona County, another 23 cases reported, bringing the total to 622. Nearly half of those cases (298) have come in the past 13 days, where Winona has averaged 22.9 cases a day.

In surrounding counties, over the long weekend, Trempealeau added no cases (441 total), Vernon added five (117), Buffalo added nine (93), Houston added five (88) and Monroe added 1 (297).

Wisconsin: 82,477 cases, 6,118 hospitalizations, 1,168 deaths
Minnesota: 81,608 cases, 6,760 hospitalizations, 1,862 deaths
Iowa: 71,018 cases, 1,185 deaths


Statewide, Wisconsin reports another 717 cases, 29 hospitalizations but no deaths for the third consecutive day.

The only other times that’s happened were July 4th (July 4-6) weekend and March 27-29. The first reported death from the virus in Wisconsin came on March 20.

Minnesota Department of Health is attributing its low case count Tuesday (387 cases) to lower testing. There were also 17 hospitalizations and two deaths reported.

Iowa data shows 481 cases and 15 deaths on Tuesday.
