The La Crosse County Health Department says it will update its new COVID-19 website at noon Friday.

The Coulee COVID-19 Collaborative (CCC) site launched last Friday, but data on most of its pages hasn’t been updated since Aug. 18.

The department said Thursday evening that, while it will not have a public health briefing at noon Friday — as it’s had the past two weeks — it will be updating the CCC.

This comes as La Crosse County, Winona County, Minnesota and Iowa set case records Thursday.

The plan was to update the CCC on Wednesdays, and that should be what happens going forward, according to the department.

The CCC has taken the place of the COVID-19 Compass, the county had used for months, but took offline on Aug. 5 and didn’t replace it for over two weeks.

The CCC is just as part the name says, a collaboration between the health department, Gundersen Health System and Mayo Clinic Health System out of La Crosse.
