The Family YMCA of La Crosse celebrates a donation from a local car dealership.

Dahl Subaru has formally presented a $20,000 check to the Main Street Y, which is also named after the Dahl Family.

The Subaru company has donated money to charities, to help fund free meals and scholarships.

Dahl Subaru chose the Family Y as its local charity to receive donations, and also provided a van used to deliver meals to families.

Dealership president Andrew Dahl says his company saw the need that the Y had, to get those summertime meals to eight locations.

Director Bill Soper of the Family Y says his organization reached out to Dahl, to find a vehicle which could be used for deliveries.

“They instantly stepped forward with this new Subaru, and said use it for the time you need it,” said Soper.
