An Onalaska man is ordered to serve nearly 6 years in a federal prison on weapon-related charges.

Curtis Green was sentenced on Friday by a U.S. District Judge for felony possession of a firearm, and for the revocation of his supervised release in a firearm theft case from 2006.

Green’s latest charge followed a shooting last October on Brickl Road in West Salem.

Police searched Green’s house a few days later, and found a gun and ammunition connecting him to the shooting.

He still faces state charges in that case.
