Trempealeau County post quietly shows second death from COVID-19

A second death from COVID-19 in Trempealeau County.

The update on the county health department’s Facebook page barely mentions it.

The death shows up as a +1 in the graphic. In the middle of its statement, all that is said is “2 people have died in our county.”

It came as Trempealeau surpassed 300 cases with 16 more confirmed Wednesday. Of the 301 total cases, 75 are still active.

The county reported its first COVID-19 death on July 17.
