Wait till next year: Moon Tunes season eclipsed by coronavirus

It’s official now from Moon Tunes–the entire 2020 season of Thursday night concerts in Riverside Park has been scrapped, because of the coronavirus. 

Just last week, Moon Tunes organizers announced the August shows would be called off, leaving a slim possibility of a concert or two in September. 

But they announced Tuesday on their Facebook page that the remaining concerts have been cancelled. 

Moon Tunes spokesman Terry Bauer says they plan to keep the same schedule of concerts for 2021 which was set for this summer.   

That means the Moon Tunes concerts along the river are set to resume next June, again with Grammy-winner Bill Miller doing the first show.
