Future of Moon Tunes still on-line, for now

“Moon Tunes” is still a virtual experience for now in La Crosse, as local and state officials decide what activities can go ahead in Wisconsin. 

Rotary spokesman Terry Bauer says tonight would be a good night to drive to Riverside Park, and enjoy an on-line concert.

Greg “Cheech” Hall will be on the Moon Tunes internet feed from 5 to 7 p.m.    

Moon Tunes has been presenting internet concerts on Thursday nights for a few weeks, with Piggy’s selling food in its parking lot as part of the experience. 

Bauer says his group still has permits to perform live concerts at the Riverside bandshell, if that’s allowed in June.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
