YMCA announces phased re-opening in La Crosse, Onalaska

A phased re-opening is the plan coming from the La Crosse Area YMCA.

La Crosse Area YMCA CEO Bill Soper said in a release Tuesday that they are finalizing plans to reopen June 1. Those details should be coming out in the coming days, the statement added.

Like a lot of businesses in the state, the YMCAs in La Crosse and Onalaska closed back in mid-March as a precaution to the spread of COVID-19.

The YMCA’s phased reopening will take into account guidelines from the CDC, La Crosse County Health Department and the state of Wisconsin, to make sure members and staff remain safe.
