Falling tree kills Arcadia man

A missing man was found deceased in Trempealeau County.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office said Galen Lee Mueller, 75, of Arcadia was reported missing on Friday, May 8 at 7:43 p.m. The report said he had been cutting wood earlier in the day off Cty. Rd. J.

When deputies arrived, they found his truck. They used K9 units, a thermal imaging drone as well as fire departments in the search. Mueller was found around 11:25 that night with fatal injuries from a tree that fell on him.
