Person hit by train Wed. night on Farnam St. in La Crosse

A person was hit by a train in La Crosse on Wednesday night was taken to the hospital.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. on Farnam Street, near 27th Street, according to the La Crosse Fire Department.

No other details were given as to who, their condition or how, as it remains under investigation.

Three fire department units and seven personnel responded, along with the La Crosse Police Department, according to the report.

The train crossing at Farnam was closed while responders cleared and checked the area.
