The La Crosse County board members elected two years ago will have their final meeting as a group Monday night, while county election workers add up votes to see who will be on the board starting next week.

Board chair Tara Johnson is one of five supervisors who did not run for another term in last Tuesday’s election.

Johnson will be recognized for her service to the county, along with other departing board members: Isaac Tahiri, Mike Giese, Patrick Barlow, and Ray Ebert.

Winners of last Tuesday’s supervisor elections will take office next week, and the county clerk’s office begins counting ballots from the election late Monday afternoon.

Only 8 of the 29 county board races on last week’s ballot had more than one candidate.
