La Crosse County confirmed two more cases of COVID-19, while the state numbers keep growing more rapidly.

Just in the last day, Wisconsin had 198 more cases, 101 more hospitalizations and 19 more deaths.

The death toll in the state is now 56 from the 2,112 positive test results, which sent 588 to the hospital or 28 percent of positive tests.

Milwaukee County, where the city just cut its polling stations from 180 to five for Tuesday’s elections, is up to 1,069 positive cases, while Dane County has 253 positive tests.

In La Crosse, one case is a man in his 20s who recently traveled, while the other is in his 60s.

Of La Crosse’s 22 total cases two had to be hospitalized but have since been sent home to quarantine — one of those in the past 24 hours. Also, 14 cases have recovered.

In Minnesota, the number of positive tests increased by 79 to 865 — 24 of those having to be hospitalized. A total of 180 of the 865 have been hospitalized, including 42 in the ICU.

Minnesota saw two more deaths from COVID-19, bringing its total to 24.

Also, 30 more patients no longer have to be isolated. So, of the 865 cases, 440 now no longer are in isolation.

By County, Houston still has zero. Winona saw its number increase by two to 13. Olmsted County jumped, again, by 12, bringing its total to 88.

Minnesota has tested 25,423 people — 1,196 in the past 24 hours.
