We won’t know Wisconsin’s spring election results on Tuesday night, because the election won’t be over yet.

A federal judge has ruled that no results should be released publicly on the actual election day, April 7th, because absentee voting can continue through the following Monday, April 13th.

The absentee deadline was set by the courts, to let the balloting go ahead as planned despite the coronavirus.

Chergosky doesn’t expect much suspense from the presidential balloting, because a recent poll showed Joe Biden with a large lead in Wisconsin over Bernie Sanders.

Chergosky says a state Supreme Court race could be very tight, and might be settled by the courts if it’s extremely close.

Justice Daniel Kelly, appointed four years ago, is defending his Supreme Court seat for the first time against Circuit Judge Jill Karofsky.
