Police release video of La Crosse man — charged for nine crimes — dropping gun, while running from police

A guy with a movie-star name is facing a long list of criminal charges in La Crosse County. 

Dean

James Dean is accused of eight counts, including possession of meth and fentanyl and keeping a firearm and a knife. 

Dean reportedly ran from police Wednesday when they tried to arrest him on a warrant at the Rose Street Kwik Trip. 

According to a police video, Dean let go of a gun after running into a picnic table. 

He allegedly was carrying half a pound of meth in his vehicle. 

The 36-six-year-old’s bond has been set at $50,000 cash.

According to police, Dean was charged with the following:
Possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver – 961.41(1m)(e)4
Battery to law enforcement – 940.20(2)
Felon in possession of a Firearm – 941.29(2)(a)
Carrying a concealed knife – 941.231
Resisting/Obstructing an officer – 946.41
Possession of drug paraphernalia – 961.573(1)
Probation violation – 973.10
Possession of THC – 961.41(3g)(e)
Possession of narcotic drugs – 961.41(3g)(am)
