Light snow predicted for La Crosse this weekend

More snow is expected in the area through the rest of the holiday weekend. 

The latest prediction from the National Weather Service calls for 2 inches of snow in La Crosse between 6 o’clock Friday night and Sunday night. 

Heavier snow is expected north of I-90, with a possible 10 inches near Wausau. 

Smaller amounts of snow are forecast for south of Vernon County. 

Officially, La Crosse has gotten 6.5 inches of snow for November, through Thanksgiving Day.  

At least 10.5 inches of snow fell during the 10 snowiest Novembers on record in La Crosse.
