Sex offender ready for release to La Crosse

A convicted sex offender is scheduled to be released next week in La Crosse, his second such release in six years.

Thomas Drusch is being let out of prison, after serving time for possessing child pornography. 

The 64-year-old Drusch pleaded guilty after being caught looking up porn at computers in the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse campus library in 2013. 

That offense occurred a short time after Drusch had been released from state supervision following previous sex crimes. 

Drusch was convicted in the 1980s for sexually assaulting children.  

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
