A Melrose man who was accused of causing the death of his baby girl has now turned up dead himself.

Investigators in Jackson County say Armas Cravins II was found dead in mid-October, but foul play is not suspected.

Cravins was charged with reckless homicide and child neglect in September, when his 2-month-old daughter died at the family home.

The girl allegedly suffocated, and was found dead in a baby swing,

Cravins was reported dead on October 15th, just one day after posting a $10,000 cash bond to get out of jail.
