Almost no snow expected this week in La Crosse area

Montana and other areas in the western U.S. have seen winter make a powerful and premature return this week. 

And La Crosse area forecasts call for colder weather this weekend, with temps possibly down to the freezing mark. 

Does that mean our area will get snow? 

Not too likely, says the National Weather Service of La Crosse.

The local forecast from now through Saturday night says the region probably won’t receive snow at all. 

But there is a slight 10 percent chance of less than an inch of snow in La Crosse. 

The best chance of getting snow will be in areas north of Jackson County.
