Fire inside wall causes a store evacuation at Valley View Mall
A small fire is found in the outside wall of Valley View Mall.
La Crosse firefighters were called to the mall Thursday, because of concerns that mulch burning outside Eye Mart Express could spread to the building.
Before the fire crews left, a customer in the Eye Mart store saw smoke, and there was a strong odor in the store.
Eye Mart was evacuated, and firefighters discovered a fire in a ventilation system within the wall.
The cause of that fire is not known yet.
