Two hurt in motorcycle-deer crash

A collision between a motorcycle and a deer sent two riders to La Crosse hospitals. 

The male driver of the motorcycle was taken to Mayo Healty System, while a female passenger was transported to Gundersen Healty System for treatment after the crash, which apparently happened around sunset on Tuesday night. 

Neither rider was wearing a helmet, according to the La Crosse County sheriff’s department. 

The crash happened on Highway 33 near Wuensch Road, in the town of Greenfield.
