Lewiston-Altura school worker facing child porn charges

The IT director for the Lewiston-Altura School District is being identified as the school employee who was arrested Thursday on child porn charges. 

Dane Austin of St. Charles was expected to appear in Winona County court on Friday. 

The 23-year-old was arrested at the high school following search warrants carried out by sheriff’s officers and a task force. 

Austin reportedly has told police that he possessed child porn, but did not produce it himself. 

He has worked with the Lewiston-Altura district for one year.
