North La Crosse man charged after city’s second drug bust in 3 days

A new drug trafficking suspect in La Crosse County court faces charges, following a Caledonia Street search on Wednesday.

The arrest of 40-year-old David Wims comes two days after a different drug search on S. 4th St. led to charges against two other people. 

The search at the Wims residence turned up 26 baggies of heroin and an apparent mix of heroin and fentanyl, worth a total of $13,000. 

The fentanyl mix was inside a bedroom safe, along with $5,000 cash. 

Wims had been on parole already for dealing meth.

The Monday raid by La Crosse Police led to the arrests of Lavon Liggins and Brittany Basley.

Both of those suspects are now officially charged with drug trafficking and other offenses.
