School isn’t quite done for summer in Kickapoo but, for one student, it is.

A student in the Kickapoo School District has been suspended for the rest of classes for allegedly making a threat against the school.

A threatening letter was found in a Kickapoo classroom on Wednesday.

That led Vernon County sheriff’s officers to show up at school early today, where they interviewed a juvenile suspected of writing the letter.

While officers do not believe there is an immediate safety threat to other students or staffers, there will be extra police presence on school property the rest of this week.
