Black River Police say the 21-year-old went into an apartment building and fired shots at officers.

The police fired back, and Labansky reportedly fled and tried to break into other homes and vehicles.

He then stole a bike, went into an occupied home and exchanged shots with officers a second time before being arrested.

He’s now jailed in Jackson County, but the Clark County Sheriff’s office is investigating.

According to on-line records, Sauk County issued an arrest warrant for Labansky last month.

At that time, Labansky was charged with theft, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass to a dwelling.
