Neighbors of frac sand mines sue in Trempealeau County

There’s more legal opposition to frac sand mining in western Wisconsin. 

Dozens of property owners are suing the Hi-Crush company that operates sand mines in Trempealeau County…at Blair, Whitehall, and Independence. 

A La Crosse attorney representing the landowners says his clients have found sand dust around their homes and in their well water, and they don’t like the noise from the mine operation. 

The Whitehall mine has been the subject of court battles for years, over whether the mining site was legally annexed by the city.
