Court hearing delayed for second child porn suspect

A second child pornography suspect arrested this month in La Crosse County probably won’t get to court for another week or so.

Thomas Wessel had been scheduled for a court appearance on Wednesday, but prosecutors asked to delay that hearing until April 26, while they’re still gathering evidence on the 62-year-old.

Tony Drinkwine, 36, of Holmen already appeared on a child porn charge Tuesday.

Both have appeared in court, since being released each on $5,000 signature bonds.

A third man, arrested last week following a county-wide investigation, has not been charged in court yet.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
