Tax return mailing deadline is 5 p.m.

The deadline in La Crosse is 5 p.m. 

That’s the latest you can drop off your tax returns at the downtown post office, to have them mailed on time. 

Clerks at the window will be able to hand-stamp your returns before then, to be sure that they have the April 15th postmark. 

Years ago, postal workers were at the building close to midnight for people to mail their returns at the last minute. 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
