Big employers to welcome job seekers at mini-fair

Area manufacturers are looking for workers who can hit the ground running, as the companies get ready for summer production.
People looking for work can find out about those openings Thursday, during the April Mini Job Fair at the Workforce Development Center on East Avenue S. in La Crosse.
Western Tech business services coordinator Kevin Ruetten says the Trane Company is one firm which has a need for certain skilled workers, especially welders.
Ruetten says manufacturing companies also can offer training to people who have what are called ‘soft skills’…good at communication, but maybe not trained in technical skills.
Reinhart, Kwik Trip, and LHI also will be represented at the job fair.
