Repeat meth suspect caught with drugs and cash in north La Crosse raid

A La Crosse man convicted on meth charges twice in the last five years has been busted for running a drug house on Avon Street.

Thirty-five-year-old Andrew Henke is accused of drug trafficking, after a Tuesday night search of his home turned up 900 grams of meth, and $14,000 in cash.

Officers also found more than 100 grams of what was called ‘an unknown white substance.’

La Crosse police say the intent to deliver meth has become one of the most frequent drug charges in the county, accounting for 37 criminal cases last year.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
