Celebrity auction items to benefit New Horizons

Friends of the New Horizons shelter in La Crosse should have their checkbooks and plastic ready for an auction at this weekend’s fundraising gala.

On Saturday night, the ‘Victory Over Violence’ event at the Cargill Room will offer lots of celebrity-related souvenirs for auction.

Patty Nuttleman from New Horizons says one item that could be irresistible to Packers fans is a Green Bay helmet autographed by Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, and many other Packer stars.

Other autographed items up for auction will include a guitar autographed by Tom Petty, and a ‘Star Wars’ photo signed by Carrie Fisher, James Earl Jones, and George Lucas.

Tickets for the New Horizons gala cost $40.
