Vernon County man suspected of murder in roommate’s shooting death

A Chaseburg area man is suspected of murder, after a weekend shooting death in Vernon County.

Fifty-nine-year-old David Stowe called 911 on Saturday, reporting suspicious activity in the area of County Road KK.

A sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene to find the body of 75-year-old Stuart Warner of Arizona.

Investigators determined that Warner had been shot, and an autopsy was ordered.

Warner had been staying with Stowe.

Online court records show that Stowe was convicted on misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct in Vernon County in 2008.
