February was 8th snowiest month on record in La Crosse

The final snow total for February makes it official…it was the snowiest February on record in La Crosse. 

By one-tenth of an inch over the previous record from 1959. 

The total of 31.1 inches also makes it the 8th snowiest month ever in La Crosse, and the snowiest month since 2010. 

There was no new snow on Thursday to add to the record-setting amount which fell the previous two days. 

The record snowfall for March, also set in 1959, is 33.5 inches. 

The weather service predicts La Crosse will get 2 inches of new snow by early tomorrow morning.
