The latest and last AP poll boys basketball poll is out, as are the WIAA playoff brackets, despite a week to go in the regular season.

Central (18-2) and Onalaska (16-4), are the top two seeds in the Division 2 sectional. The Red Raiders, who picked up a 96-43 win Monday night against Aquinas (8-12), also held onto the No. 2 ranking in the final AP Poll. Onalaska fell to eighth, after losing to Central 62-52 last week.

Central would open the tournament March 1, against the winner of Sparta at Logan on Feb. 26. Onalaska would host either No. 7 New Richmond (12-8) or 10th-seeded Tomah (7-14).

Fourth-seeded Holmen (9-9) hosts No. 5 Menomonie (8-12) in the second round. Both teams also have first-round byes, as does much of the bracket.

The section championship is at 7 p.m. March 9 at Logan Fieldhouse.

In Division 3, Prairie du Chien (17-2) moved up two spots to No. 7 in the final AP poll and has the No. 1 seed after winning 10 consecutive games.

In Division 4, eighth-seeded Aquinas (8-12) will host Darlington at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 in the second round.

In Division 5, second-ranked Bangor (19-1) and sixth-ranked Blair-Taylor (20-1) were paired in the same sectional as No. 1 seeds. The two teams could meet for a bid to get to the state tournament.

The Wildcats beat the Cardinals 74-66 on Dec. 11.
