Onalaska residents check out downtown improvement plans
Twenty years after the last master plan for downtown Onalaska, the city is drawing up new ones for developments and street changes.
At a meeting Tuesday night, several visitors took time out to study maps of possible changes for busy parts of the city that were on display at
Irving Pertzsch Elementary .
Those plans included Ideas for improving downtown and the Highway 16 area.
Onalaska Mayor Joe Chilsen said development of the Dash Park area has brought new interest to the Highway 35 corridor.
The planning process does not have a strict timeline, but the goal is to develop things that could shape how Onalaska looks 20 years from now.
