Muellenberg admitted to police that he was the masked intruder who tried assaulting and choking the teenage victim at her home in Bangor last May.

Police say the victim had recently graduated from high school.

At first, Muellenberg had claimed that a masked man also attacked him.

When police asked Muellenberg why he went to the victim’s house, he said “rape, I guess.”
