Central senior awarded $25,000 scholarship thanks to local foundation

For the third straight year a Central High School senior will have a chance to go to college thanks to a large scholarship.

The Mark and Anne Hansen Foundation has announced they’ll be giving another $25,000 scholarship to a student, who otherwise couldn’t afford tuition.

The fund covers tuition, room and board, books, fees and other expenses for one year.

The foundation says the winner will have already shown a propensity for overcoming barriers.
